Having females in an MC is rare but this book shows you not to mess with them for sure. This book keeps you guessing and keeps you wanting more.
Donna is an RN (like me!) and wants to run a B&B. So she gets an old mansion needing lots of repairs, but before she can even get started she discovers a dead body! This is a fun story with interesting and very real characters. I thoroughly enjoyed the hunt for the murdered with this batch of people. I’m looking forward to reading more of the books in this fun series!

“The historical authenticity of the work is admirable; the author’s research is scrupulously rigorous, and much of the book is enjoyably edifying, as it offers a peek into several tumultuous conflicts in the 20th century.”
“The pacing of this story is pitch-perfect, and the conflicts are well-conceived and executed. It’s a simple story told in intricate layers. But even in the gritty storytelling, you get a sense of positivity. He makes Tokyo come to life for readers who are curious about the city and wonder what it’s like there.”
Shield’s Suspicion is a page-turner that delivers a satisfying mix of romance, intrigue, and the camaraderie of the Demon Dawgs. Fans of MC romance will find this installment irresistible, and newcomers will be drawn into the captivating world crafted by the author.
The violence occurs off page for the most part which is good as a play by play would have been one of the bloodiest ever written.
The plot is original, the characters are excellent, the scenes are painstakingly developed, it all adds up to an incredible read.
