Finn Mullaney is in middle school. There’s a problem in school and he’s named Alan Kelly. Finn doesn’t like Kelly, but then no one in school likes him. Before classes start everyone meets in the cafeteria for a mug of hot chocolate. A new student, Kenji Sato from Japan, makes the mistake of trying to sit at the same table as Alan Kelly and his creepy pals. Finn steps in and asks Kenji to join them at their table. Turns out to be a good move because Kenji has a black belt in Karate, and, as they get to know each other, he teaches Finn and his pals Karate. They’ll need it, because they’ll have to deal with mean Alan Kelly and his creepy pals once and for all. They’ll take over Kelly’s secret business selling hall passes, and answers to tests. They’ll have to be very careful and not let teachers and the principal know, but if you need help, Finn and his pals will be the one’s to go to.
