A Skeleton in Bone Creek

What a run. Twist and turn. Researching topical application of bones, dust, mud, silt, and general soco findings was spot on, it’s just that the time line between events was far to fast within the reading page. Loved it. Couldn’t see it coming, powder made the story.

About

Harkin County has its share of skeletons. But when a previously hidden skeleton surfaces in Bone Creek, the assignment falls to the Special Operations division at the FBI. Buried deep in the section of California known as The Free State of Jefferson, the local office doesn’t want anything to do with Harkin County.

Special Agent Nash Running Bear has her misgivings about returning to the small town she grew up in. But she only wants to think of two reasons she is right for the investigation.

The vision she has been having, she doesn’t want to think about. She’s not her mother.

Old racial slights and hatred for outsiders, don’t make looking for more bones any easier… nor does the appearance of an old high school fling.

Book Reviews
Totally engrossed with this fantastic read. I couldn't put it down, even when my eyes wanted to close from the need to sleep! From the relationship between Bear/Nash and her wife Mina. The complexity of the many agencies co-mingling in the take down, while also keeping the local sheriff in the loop, makes you realise the logistical nightmare keeping the alphabet soup of law enforcement happy😵‍💫 I loved the tribal farewell and the issue of the communication and trust to be built with members of all tribes, first nation especially. Loved, loved this book. A new fav author for me!
