Hair on Fire

I liked the way the author had a true feeling and the meaning of Christmas. The book was written thru her eyes from child hood and into her adult life. She always placed family first along with her faith. I Would highly recommend this book for a feel good story.

Book Reviews
This memoir brought back many fond memories of my own Christmas experiences as a child. I grew up in a small town and could relate to much of the book from that perspective, but I suspect that anyone whose childhood corresponded with the mid to late decades of the 20th century could relate to this book regardless of where they grew up. The book took me back to the children's party held by the local firemen, the school plays, decorating the tree in our classroom, making multicolored paper link chains for the tree etc. It also made me a little sad as I looked back to think that today's generations will never have the opportunity to experience what we had and took for granted back then. And with that in mind maybe there is a little bit of something for everyone in this book. If you enjoy looking back at a kinder gentler time, buy this book. I don't think you will be disappointed and I do believe it will make you smile.
